Watercolour Sketchbook – Spread 2

On the left page I tried something similar to yesterday but with a brush pen replacing the thicker fineliner. Don’t think it works so well; it feels like it leaps out too much.

Reverting to the fineliner worked better on the right page. I rarely do a full scene or use watercolours to colour everything, so this was pushing the boat out. Think it works better than the left page, though could probably have leant into deeper, higher contrast shadows.

Used webcam feeds from a cafe and a bar.
